4C Strategies are delighted to announce we have signed a new contract with the UK MoD for the continuation of support to the British Army’s Collective Training Exercise Management System (CTEMS). The contract is for three (3) years from Nov 2020, with options for a further two (2) extension years. 4C will provide our Exonaut® Training and Exercise Management System and embedded support to the Land Warfare Centre and Collective Training Group, whilst continuing to support the planning, delivery, evaluation, assurance and exploitation of exercises at the Collective Training Establishments (CTEs) and more broadly across the Army and Defence.

4C Strategies have supported the MoD’s training since 2007, principally in the Land Environment. Exonaut can be used wherever the British Army trains in the world, across the Live, Virtual and Constructive domains, to optimise resources, increase efficiency and objectivity, to improve exploitation of training data, to increase training effectiveness and inform operational decision making.

Exonaut is a proven, end-to-end and objective based Training and Exercise Management System also in use within NATO, the US, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Switzerland and the UAE. Exonaut is highly adaptable, configurable and supports training at the individual, platform, unit, collective and joint levels as an installed or distributed system. In particular, Exonaut provides the British Army with an integrated solution for training management, measurement and evaluation through enabling programming, scheduling and resourcing, in-training activity scenario management, training objective management, field-based training data collection and performance measurement as well as exploitation, visualisation and optimisation support for all stakeholders.

“We are pleased to continue our close partnership with the British Army and with CTG in particular.  Exonaut has a strong track record supporting Collective Training through support to campaigning, contingency and, more recently, agile adaptation. Exonaut continues to develop to meet the Army’s requirements; the development of MIMIR, a competence-based assessment framework supported by validation visualisations, is a case in point. Exonaut is also increasingly being used to support lower level, Individual, Special to Arm, Team and Battlecraft Syllabus training.  There’s plenty more to do in the coming months, notably integration with authoritative data sources and LVC simulations, all of which will increase our relevance as a key training support provider.”

David Paterson, Group Military Director, 4C Strategies

“We are delighted with UK MoD’s decision to extend their contract with 4C Strategies. Exonaut® is becoming the global de facto standard for an integrated training, exercise management and training readiness tracking system for Armed Forces. Since 2007, the UK MOD has been instrumental to our innovation by placing very high functional and technical requirements on usability and security. We are really looking forward to providing continued support and innovation to the British Army”.

Magnus Bergqvist, CEO, 4C Strategies
