2023-01-16As the demand for data-driven military training grows, industry collaborations have an important role to play in unlocking innovative solutions that influence and drive how armed forces prepare for their missions. At I/ITSEC 2023, in Orlando, 4C Strategies and Hadean formed a transformative partnership to combine leading military training and exercise management solutions with pioneering AI-powered spatial computing.
This collaboration marks a critical point in the development of enhanced training experiences and more effective mission outcomes. To mark the collaboration, Hadean Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Mimi Keshani, and Mike Edqvist, 4C Strategies Co-founding Partner & VP of North America, met up to discuss the importance of the team-up and the common objectives.
Orchestrating capabilities
During the meet-up, both parties pointed out the importance of partnering with innovative companies that share a passion for excellence. Mike discussed the value the orchestration capabilities and existing connections of Hadean’s spatial computing platform can potentially bring to 4C customers. Adding to this, Mimi explained how Hadean can as an enabling technology, add a layer of capabilities to the Exonaut resilience and training readiness solutions, for support more meaningful training and better outcomes from training.
AI and data-driven environments
The partnership takes a customer-centric approach with the goal of accelerating the development of new capabilities and integrating novel technologies. Hadean’s flexible open architecture, supports kinetic simulations and multi-domain synthetic environments that can integrate cyber and space at an unprecedented pace. Combining the AI and spatial capabilities of the Hadean Platform with Exonaut data-driven environment that provides one, real-time version of the truth, the partnership will push the boundaries of training exercise control and planning and improve automation for faster scenario generation.
With a growing demand for more cost-effective virtual training, Mimi spoke about the aim of the collaborative solution. Referencing the need to seamlessly integrate individual and collective training in a flexible system that accounts for complexity, fidelity, and realism., for a more meaningful training experience. She said: “Live training is expensive, but you can’t ever fully substitute it, so making sure you have got systems that seamlessly fall into both is another reason I am excited about this partnership.”
Providing rich data sets in intuitive formats
Mike shared his vision for an integrated individual and collective training solution that offers considerable value to customers in defence and national security. His key takeaway was the importance of providing rich data sets to the customer, in intuitive desktops and formats that enhance the end-to-end training experience. Underscoring the significance of high-quality data, Mimi stressed that the “quality of AI is as good as the quality of data”. Building large-scale systems with complexity similar to the real world enhances the power and effectiveness of AI, reinforcing the potential for meaningful advancements in military training.
