4C Strategies supports SIWI on water governance

4C Strategies is proud to announce that we support Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). We contribute with knowledge on resilient communication related to their work on water-related issues.

– When people are not sure if they can be confident that their water is safe, or trust information about water, it affects the whole society, says 4C Strategies consultants Linda and Robin.

SIWI’s programme the Shared Waters Partnership focusses on strengthening cooperation among actors facing challenges on water issues. A main goal is to improve communication on current and upcoming challenges related to water, climate change and water security. This includes to safeguard the confidence for safe water, a question that has been subject of a lot of disinformation and targeted by information influence activities.

– Resilient and strategic communication is one key to handle information influence activities affecting water issues, Robin continues. We have just delivered a two day workshop creating an opportunity for delegates from local authorities in a SIWI program to discuss and learn how to communicate strategically when facing such activities.

– This is very rewarding work and it has given a deepened both international and humanitarian perspective on the complex issue of access to safe water. It also allows me and my colleague an opportunity to live our core values and to contribute to a safer society together with our clients, says Linda.
