How the alliance combats the spread of disinformation

4C Strategies would like to extend a warm welcome to an interesting breakfast seminar on the 31st of March, 2025, where we will be hosting a talk with Janis Sarts, Director of NATO StratCom Centre of Excellence. During the seminar, we will hear how NATO StratCom works to strengthen the capability of NATO’s member states strategic communication, how we can combat the spread of disinformation online, and how the changed geo-political landscape puts new demands on our strategic communication. During the seminar we will discuss how Russia has ramped up their information war against NATO since the invasion of Ukraine, and how the social media landscape enables the spread of disinformation on a previous unseen scale, as well as what can be learnt from it. We will also discuss what NATO, and Sweden as a member state, can do to strengthen our shared resilience against disinformation.

The seminar is mainly directed towards actors within the public sector, the defence industry, and other actors that wants to get a deeper understanding of the treat that Information influence poses towards our society. After the presentation there will be a possibility to ask questions to Janis Sarts.
