We meet the newest member of the 4C Board, Jörgen Ericsson, and discover how his experience will benefit the company as it continues its expansion.
Hi, Jörgen – tell us a bit about your background
I have extensive experience from the IT industry, including 13 years in Executive roles in Silicon Valley at tech companies like Snowflake and Cisco. I have also managed a VC Fund that specializes in Nordic companies with a desire to drive growth in the US market. Beyond that, I have worked as an AI/Analytics Partner at KPMG and as a strategy consultant at McKinsey, among other things.
How can your experience help 4C moving forward?
Many of the companies I have been involved with have been early adopters in embedding AI and data analytics - which is central to 4C’s software platform Exonaut - into their solutions. So, I can share knowledge from this. I also believe I can contribute to the packaging of solutions targeting different use cases including how to involve ecosystem partners in the process. As the US is a key market for 4C going forward, my experience of growing software companies in the US market will also hopefully be beneficial. I am well aware of the opportunities as well as the pitfalls.
You’ve been involved in the IT industry for a long time, what is your philosophy on growing a business?
I believe there are ultimately three pillars for success. Firstly, a crucial foundation is that you have top-talented people united by a culture focused on speed. Secondly, a differentiated, modularized and truly data-driven platform is crucial in today’s fast-moving market. Thirdly, and equally important, is trust-based collaboration both internally – especially between development, sales, and marketing – but also externally, with ecosystem partners in a scalable go-to-market strategy
Finally, where do you see the company in the future?
If we think about a two-year horizon, I see 4C continuing to expand its footprint in Europe and in the US and thoughtfully exploring the possibilities that AI and advanced data analytics can bring to the platform. In a five-year perspective, I believe we should aspire for 4C to be a globally recognized leader in software-enabled training readiness and organizational resilience.
