3 New Board members join 4C North America Inc.

4C Strategies (4C), a leading software provider and consulting company, announces appointment of three new board members to 4C North America Inc., our operations focused on the defense sector.

Former US Army Lieutenant General and President and CEO of Rafael Systems Global Sustainment LLC, Joe Anderson; Former Assistant Secretary of the US Navy, James Geurts; and Private Equity advisor to early-stage technology companies Tim Solms, join current board member and 4C Strategies Group CEO Magnus Bergqvist.

New Board members join 4C North America Inc. bringing a wealth of business and military experience to the organization

Following the recent appointment (27 October 2023) of former US Army Brigadier Guy Jones as President of its North American Defense operations, 4C is happy to announce it has expanded the 4C North America Inc. Board of Directors. The welcome additions to the board bring a wealth of experience and expertise from the defense industry and the military.

Joseph Anderson

President and CEO of Rafael Systems Global Sustainment LLC Joe Anderson is a highly decorated former US Army Lieutenant General whose last assignment was as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, G-3/5/7. He has also previously served as the Commanding General of the XVIII Airborne Corps, Commander of International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, and Deputy Commanding General, US Forces (Afghanistan). He retired from service in 2019 taking up his current role at Rafael Systems Global Sustainment LLC.

James Geurts

James Geurts, has over three decades of leadership in the national security sector. He is currently the Distinguished Fellow at Business Executives for National Security (BENS) as well as serving on the US Army Science Board. He has held multiple positions in the military, with responsibility for acquisitions including Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition where he was responsible for a $150 billion-dollar annual budget and ensuring the effective procurement and sustainment of platforms, systems, technologies, and services to enhance the capabilities and readiness of Sailors and Marines serving around the globe.

Tim Solms

Former Officer, Tim Solms spent over 18 years in the US Army prior to launching a career in technology, serving in key leadership positions with firms including Dell, Microsoft, and Dun & Bradstreet. Tim is currently active within Private Equity, serving on several boards, as well as providing critical support advising early-stage technology companies focused on the Public Sector.

The final board member has been at the company for over a decade; Magnus Bergqvist, has been 4C Global CEO since 2011 and a member of the 4C North America Inc. board since the company was founded in 2016.
