Tele2 Digitises Incident Management with Exonaut

Tele2 employs around 5 200 people in six countries in Europe. For a company of that size, it is paramount to get a structured approach to incident management and to improve the processes over time, so they turned to 4C Strategies and the software solution Exonaut.

Background/Challenge

Disruptions to ordinary operations can be very costly if handled incorrectly. Effective incident and case management should therefore be an essential part of any business.

The handling officers at Tele2 responsible for the specific incident type in the specific country wanted to use Exonaut to digitally log actions taken, related police reports, insurance claims, and other information.

When needed, they also wanted to invite other users to share information and cooperate in resolving the incident. Tele2 also wanted to keep track of total incident cost and hours spent managing the incident.

Solution

The Exonaut solution for Tele2 allows both logged in users (e.g. all employees) and unregistered users (e.g. partners) to report a wide range of security incidents: fire, fraud, personal data breach, robbery, theft or loss, work-related injury and more.

Depending on the selected incident type and country, the correct incident handling officers are notified. Only they can view and manage the incident report, meaning Exonaut supports Tele2’s strict requirements on data confidentiality and integrity.

It supports automated workflow with email notifications at the right time to the right recipients. Data is visualised in customisable dashboards which gives us a good overview and allows for drill-down statistics which helps us to identify the most effective risk mitigation measures.

In the Exonaut dashboards, the Tele2 incident statistics are visualised in charts and graphs by:

  • Incident type and sub-type
  • Country and region
  • Status
  • Time
  • Incident cost

The data can be filtered by e.g. just clicking a staple in one of the charts, which makes it very easy to identify areas with the highest number of incidents, the highest incident cost and the accumulated time spent managing incidents.
