SOLUTION INCIDENT AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT

From industrial action to product recall, system failure to a pandemic, a crisis can come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

With the growth of social media and the complexity of business operations, a major incident or crisis can affect and disrupt any business. Effective Incident and Crisis Management (ICM) relies upon the right people being equipped with the right skills and tools to deliver a response at the right time.

At 4C Strategies, we work with a number of public and private sector clients to develop and test their crisis management capabilities. Our solutions include current state audit of ICM capability, development of ICM maturity model and metrics, design of ICM plans, processes and tools, training courses, desktop and simulation exercises and real-time incident or crisis support.

Examples of our work in this area include:

Airports: We are working with a major UK airport to deliver an annual programme of training and exercising, supported by our Exonaut™ software suite. The programme aims to build and verify the airport’s ICM capability in accordance with its prescribed maturity requirements. The ability to link training and exercising to these performance requirements enables the airport to benchmark annual improvements and understand return on investment from ICM activity. Our integrated approach has delivered cohesion across all parts of the airport’s operations, improved risk management and auditable results.

Ensuring that they are fit for purpose requires them to be built, verified and tracked. 4C Strategies have successfully partnered with a number of global, national and developing businesses to support the whole or a part of this journey. 

Hospitality: We were selected to run a Crisis Management programme for a UK-wide leisure and hospitality group. The programme was designed to build Executive Incident Management leadership capability, develop the in-house Incident Management Team’s ability to manage information and communicate internally and externally with key audiences. The programme culminated in delivery of a simulation exercise to stress-test the organisation’s Incident Management plans and processes.
